Breads and Pastries
End-of-day donations are received several times each week from Giant, Jerry's, Nell's, Panera, Red Brick Bakery, Weis, and other local bakeries or stores. These are free to anyone. Due to Covid, you must first call our agency so that we can get the items that you are requesting ready for to pick up. Please note- availability is limited to a first-come, first-served basis. Bags of Blessings
Extra holiday meal items for Thanksgiving and Christmas are provided to pantry clients at their monthly appointment. Donations of hams, turkeys, and whole chickens are needed for this program each fall and spring. Due to limited freezer space, we would greatly appreciate donations of gift cards bought from local grocery stores. Donations are requested beginning in October and continuing through the first week of December, and then again in February. |
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING FOR FOOD ASSISTANCE: Due to Covid, we have made changes to how our food pantry previously operated.
1. ALL CLIENTS are considered NEW each JULY due to the fiscal year for the state food allotment in which our agency participates so that our clients may have good nutritional choices each month.
2. Due to Covid, we are currently not allowing our families to enter our building.
3. Beginning in January 2021, pantry food pick up appointments should be made through our website on our Pantry Services page. For families that do not have access to the internet, we will mail you out an appointment letter along with a food choice survey. The appointment letters will have a pre-filled appointment date and time listed. Please drop off or mail back your completed food choice survey within 3 days of receiving it. We do enclose a postage paid envelope. If you would like to select your own pickup appointment, you must schedule your appointments through our website. Due to the amount of new families that are registering for our services and a shortage of volunteers, we can no longer continue to make phone calls to each of our pantry families). If you are physically incapable of completing a paper formatted food choice survey each month and do not have access to the internet please contact us.
Please note*** if you do not have access to be the internet, you can ask a friend or family member that has access to the internet or mobile phone’s internet to schedule your appointment for you****
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation especially during this challenging time.
