vOLUNTEER coordinator​
DUTIES:                                                                                    
ASSIST IN RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS
ARRANGE VOLUNTEER SCHEDULES
ASSIST IN VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
ASSIGN VOLUNTEER DUTIES
UPDATE VOLUNTEER INFORMATION USING OUR COMPUTER PROGRAM
WORK WITH OTHER VOLUNTEERS
TEAM BUILDING
ASSIST IN EVENT PLANNING
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
GOOD COMMUNICATION AND VERBAL SKILLS
ORGANIZED
FAMILIAR WITH OUR SERVICE AREA
MUST PROVIDE PA CHILD ABUSE CLEARANCE OR HAVE APPLIED FOR IT
MUST PROVIDE PA STATE POLICE CLEARANCE OR HAVE APPLIED FOR IT
HOURS:
8-10 HOURS PER WEEK DURING OUR NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS
AFTER TRAINING, SOME OF THE HOURS REQUIRED CAN BE DONE REMOTELY FROM HOME

MAINTENANCE/BUILDING VOLUNTEER
Maintenance/Building Volunteer
Duties:
Assist in minor building maintenance
Assist in building and property upkeep
Paint
Organize
Occasionally assemble pieces of furniture or equipment
Occasionally move furniture
Qualifications:
Knowledge of minor maintenance and repairs
Organize
Handy with tools
Ability to lift 20 pounds
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Hours:
8-10 hours per month – your convenience
 
 
​Community Presence Volunteers
Duties:
Assist with donor communications
Assist in building relationships with other organizations
Meet with other organizations/churches to discuss our programs
Send and monitor emails
 Qualifications:
Knowledge of word, excel, and outlook
Organized
Speaks professionally
Familiar with our service area
Good verbal and communication skills
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Hours:
6-8 hours per week

During our normal business hours


OFFICE ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER
​Duties:
Assist in updating pantry and client system
Filing
Making phone calls
Assist in daily office tasks
Qualifications- 
Knowledgeable of word and excel
Speak in a professional matter 
Multi tasking
Resourceful
Organized
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Hours-
1-2 days a week 9:00am-1:00pm or 10:00am-2:00pm
During our normal business hours

FUNDRAISER/DONOR ASSISTANT
​Duties:
Assist with organizing small fundraiser
Corresponding with donors verbally and in written format
Qualifications/Requirements:
Communication and verbal skills
Knowledge of word and excel
Organizational skills
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Able to write donor correspondence in a professional manner
Hours:
6-8 hours per month
Some duties may have to be done during business hours and some may
be done from home
PANTRY/CURBSIDE VOLUNTEER
​Duties:
Help prepare food boxes for pantry food pickups
Assist in putting away donations received
Assist in keeping the pantry clean
Qualifications:
Ability to lift 20 pounds
Organized
Must learn and always follow food safety procedures(will train)
Must be able to interact with clients in a friendly professional manner
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Hours:
3-4 hours per day
At least 4 days per month( prefer weekly if possible)
Shifts will be during our normal business hours

​COMMUNITY KIDS FOOD FOR HOME
​Duties:
Assist with food drives
Prepare and organize food pick ups for local students
Assist in preparing food boxes for students
Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge of word/excel
Communication skills
Organized
Must be able to lift 20 pounds
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Hours- 

1st Wednesday of each month
from 9:00am-12:00pm 
2nd Monday of each month
from 9:00am-12:00pm
     or 6:00pm-7:00pm
3rd Monday or Tuesday
9:00am-11:00am




store donation pick up volunteer
Duties:
Pick up donations from 1-2 local stores on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift at least 20 ponds
Own their own vehicle
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Have a valid drivers license and current insurance
Must be able to pick up and drop off store donations during the hours of
9AM-11AM
Nell’s- Mondays and/or Wednesdays
Weis Red Lion- Mondays and Wednesdays
education volunteer​
Making phone calls
Assist in scheduling classes and participants
Research different education programs in the local area
Qualifications- 
Knowledgeable of word and excel
Speak in a professional matter 
Multi tasking
Resourceful
Organized
Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance or have applied for it
Must provide PA State Police Clearance or have applied for it
Hours-
1 day a week 10:00am-1:00pm 
During our normal business hours
occassional/special program volunteer
Volunteer for special events, seasonal programs, or would like to teach a class at the agency in your field of expertise.
